Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach a Technology in the Classroom course. This
8-week course will be taught in an online format during our Spring 2023 term.
This course is designed to emphasize the
connectivity of technology to the classroom and the general curriculum. Students will explore programs that will aid them in classroom
management, data collection, student-produced work, creating instructional tools, and administration of classroom responsibilities. Students
will develop products that can be used to support their teaching and the learning process of their students.
Requirements for this
position include a Master’s degree in Education or related field. If the degree is in a related area, the candidate should have at
least 18 graduate credit hours in the field of Education. A doctoral degree in Education is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of previous
experience teaching in public schools is also required. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of educational theory and how
those impact the selection of specific assessment approaches. Experience with educational technology tools (Google Classroom, Edmodo, Remind
101, Class DoJo, Zoom, Web design, social media, etc.) is highly valued. Preference is given to candidates that not only have practical
experience with assessment and educational technology, but also has contributed to the body of research. Excellent teaching evaluations and
previous online teaching experience are also required.
