We’re looking for a Manager, People Partnerships to join our People Leadership Team to help strategize with corporate leaders and drive a cultural shift where our team members have a platform to bring their best selves. You should have a proven track record of coaching and developing leaders at all levels within the organization, as well as leading employee engagement initiatives that create best-in-class work environments. You will partner with the people team to develop, implement, and drive the Forever 21 human capital strategy as part of achieving the company’s human capital objectives and the long-term strategic vision. You’ll provide thought partnership and coaching to functional leaders throughout our talent and performance management cycles. In this position, you must understand HR principles and be able to apply this knowledge to identify practical solutions for our business challenges. Additionally, you must be able to interpret and apply understanding of Forever 21 policies and practices, employment law and other regulations to provide advice, guidance and/or clarification for ER related inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the HR senior management to create and drive an effective people strategy, organization model, talent development strategy, and engaged culture in the largest and most crucial client groups; develop an effective suit of tools and training to effectively deploy human capital initiatives.
• Proactively work with the HRBPs to assess business performance, identify gaps, and initiate partnerships to develop HR solutions that promote organizational and employee effectiveness.
• Develop and drive the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that align with the business priorities and goals of Forever 21; establish and track key performance indicators to measure progress and success.
• Facilitate the consistent application, implementation, and improvement of HR policies, processes, and programs (merit and promotion, planning, performance management, employee relations, career development, headcount planning, etc.).
• Translate short- and long-term operating goals into HR processes, projects, and assignments; integrate and initiate the work with key stakeholders and functional partners to ensure appropriate solutions are delivered to support business strategies.
• Investigate and resolve employee relations matters, and facilitate or conduct effective termination processes when needed.
• Develops an effective employee value proposition and ensures the use of best practice approaches and tools to attract the right talent for the organization.
• Ensure that line managers are effectively and proactively managing staff performance, facilitating appropriate response to serious performance issues, including conducting investigations and corrective performance actions.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or relevant field of study; Master’s degree preferred; professional certifications a plus
• Must have at least 8 years of experience in HR with 3-5 years as a strategic level HR Business partner
• Prior experience in supporting senior managers in human capital initiatives deployment
• Must have 3 or more years of general HR Management experience
• Strong financial and business acumen, with consultant-level customer service and customer management capabilities; ability to deal with ambiguous and fluid situations
• High degree of written business English; excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong coaching, influencing, and negotiating skills
• Ability to collaborate and work across a large, complex organization
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
