Job Description
Corporate Automation Engineer, Flex-N-Gate Michigan, LLC, Troy, MI. Develop, edit, maintain and troubleshoot automated actuators, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and motion-controlled programs on manufacturing equipment and machinery. Train team engineers and die setters on trouble shooting techniques. Investigate mechanical failures. Provide technical support on the production floor. Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis. Participate in the advanced product quality planning activities for the development of control plans.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5) years of professional experience in manufacturing technology.
Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:
· Allen Bradley PLC programming hardware and software;
· Using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Spinfire to produce mechanical designs;
· Assisting with installation, debugging and starting-up of electrical control and power system equipment;
· Reading, reviewing, and interpreting blueprint designs and drawings;
· Reviewing electrical schematics and safety circuits to verify their compliance to industry standards and the Pre- Health and Safety Review (PHSR); and
· Evaluating and adjusting ultrasonic plastic weld strength for compliance to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.
Up to 50% domestic and international travel required.
