SUMMARY: The Network & Systems Administrator position based in Faribault MN, is responsible for ongoing management and administration of an IT infrastructure encompassing multiple facilities. The right candidate must be ready and willing to learn and work with our existing infrastructure with minimal guidance and quickly come up to speed with a large number of technologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs network /server/pc/user troubleshooting to isolate/diagnose and resolve common problems.
• Upgrades hardware and software components as required, including assembly of network hardware. Installs and tests necessary software and hardware.
• Provides users with technical support. Responds to needs and questions of users quickly and efficiently.
• On call response is required on a 7×24 rotating basis.
• Installs upgrades and configures network printing, directory structures, rights and security, software and files services.
• Maintains network operations and provides assistance to the IT Infrastructure Manager.
• Involved in technology investment discussions, providing input on technology direction and implementation strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent applicable experience is preferred.

Experience: At least 4+ years of technical support experience with 2+ years’ experience as a Network/System Administrator is required.

Manufacturing experience (Rockwell support) a plus

Skills:

• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Exchange 2016/Exchange Online and Microsoft Terminal Server.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose wired and wireless networking environments.
• Server OS Configuration, Installation and Maintenance. Ability to document all network and systems details.
• Ability to efficiently troubleshoot/diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, provide technical supervision of staff and contractors.
• Ability to plan, communicate and execute network /systems changes, updates and upgrades in an effective, non-disruptive way.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Familiarity with MES or ERP systems in a manufacturing and distribution environment a plus.
