ERDMAN Looking for Estimator, Senior Living Construction at Remote Full Time

The Senior Estimator recommends the primary building enclosure, systems, materials and prepare a concept estimate for the project based on the program scope, unit mix, code requirements and geography. Works closely with the Architecture and Engineering team in the design of the project to ensure it is designed to be efficient and cost effective while meeting the expectations of the target customer. Leads the estimating team thru the detailed estimates during the SD/DD and CD phases.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field required

Certifications and/or Licenses: AACE Certification preferred

Previous Experiences:

• Senior Living (required) and multi-family experience is beneficial
• Experience in multiple building types (Type I – V)
• Liaison with Subcontractors, Design Team (architects, engineers, consultants) and Client
• Deep experience in project management of multiple, simultaneous estimates

Knowledge and Skills:

• Destini Estimator software
• Bluebeam
• Revit/BIM
• MS Office, advanced Excel

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating: Creates opinion of probable cost through construction document estimates from the respective level of drawings, generates qualifications, and establishes labor rates and market conditions with construction operations team.

Conceptual Project Analysis Budgeting: Fields budget requests and collects all information to determine an appropriate model to fit the request based on historical data and regional comparable; provides statements of assumptions, clarifications, exclusions and alternates.

Analysis: Conducts analysis of past performance on projects and assists the Chief Estimator to develop standards for future estimates based on analysis.

Construction Support: Produces construction budgets, change orders, and other construction costing information to assist field team with change order analysis.

Documentation: Assists the Project Manager, Construction with preparation of instructions to bidders, bid form and other bid solicitation information; prepares conceptual budgets through construction document estimates. Ensures the flow of project information is maintained and documented until the project is transferred to the respective project manager.
