Empty Spaces, LLC Looking for Cook at Paonia, Colorado Full Time

Electric Mountain Lodge has nine cabins, as well as an event space and the Lodge which houses a lounge, our bar, and restaurant. During the fall and winter, the bar and restaurant is open to the public, as well as to our on-site guests. We are looking for a hard-working and experienced cook to come create delicious food and dream up some tasty cocktails for our bar. We have all new kitchen equipment, including deluxe pizza ovens. We would love to find someone who has experience with purchasing and creating menu items. This would be a good opportunity for a young cook with experience who is looking to be in charge of their own kitchen.

The hours are flexible and depend on how booked the lodging is, but plan on working about 30 hours a week, some more and some less. Two shift meals are included on workdays.

Employee Experience:
We are a small but fun team who work hard to create an amazing guest experience while enjoying the perks of living on a mesa in Colorado! We are surrounded by national forest and can ATV, trail ride, or go camping in the fall downtime. In the winter, it is all about snowmobiling, cross country skiing and tubing!

Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with working in a remote location, about 20 miles outside the town of Paonia. Because we are a small team, it is imperative that our cook have a positive attitude and the ability to work with others as needed. Fine dining experience is not required, but cooking experience is.

Getting Here and Getting Around:
While we recommend bringing a car to be able to get around, we can pick up at the airports in either Montrose or Grand Junction.
