We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Technical Sales Engineer. Based out of our New York Location, you will provide, under the direction of the Sales and Business Services Manager, custom solutions to technical issues from customers and sales teams managing resources testing, evaluating, problem-solving, and inhouse troubleshooting of material technologies and equipment. You will also deliver specs, technical feedback, and inhouse answers concerning operations and maintenance. Additionally:
- Optimize application recommendations and root cause conclusions by providing support to the SBSM, sales partners, and customers by telephone, chat, video presentations, and online presentations
- Complete technical projects within timelines by validating project objectives, developing test matrices, data collection, analysis techniques, other testing plans, and reporting formats
- Determine the viability of project requests by assessing efficiencies, costs, and resource demand and by proposing alternative approaches as necessary
- Present recommendations by reviewing technical specs and engineered drawings then relaying data to stakeholders in concise, clear, and easy-to-understand formats
- Enhance ECT sales by making recommendations in the design, manufacture, and development of new and revised product offerings
- Build product use capabilities by providing inhouse technical guidance to production and sales personnel, channel partners, internal stakeholders, and external customers
Requirements
You should have:
- High school diploma: advanced credentials preferred
- 2+ years of experience in specialty materials or specialty chemicals
- 2+ years of experience in customer support
- Excellent knowledge and experience working with ERPs; JD Edwards Enterprise-1 preferred
- Precise, detail-oriented, but with thirst for understanding and trying new things
- Ability to work in a team-centered environment
- Positive and professional attitude
