Job Summary

East Bay Logistics is seeking two experienced Logistics Coordinators for our food grade commodity warehouses in San Leandro and San Lorenzo, CA. These positions contribute to the success of East Bay through seamless execution of the day-to-day logistics operations. In this role you will manage all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and document creation. You also will be coordinating with internal and external transportation providers, customers and warehouse personnel.

The ideal candidate for this role has logistics in their blood! He or she is process oriented, loves juggling multiple competing priorities and thrives on delivering awesome customer service. This person is a proactive self-starter who is agile and always looking for ways to create efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Communications

• Engages with customers, ensuring high level of customer service and satisfaction
• Manages multiple email inboxes, ensuring communications are timely and organized
• Answers incoming calls, providing support or directing to appropriate personnel as necessary
• Proactively communicates with Warehouse Manager on shifting priorities and needs

Scheduling

• Responsible for overall day-to-day logistics activities
• Coordinates with dray provider(s) to ensure timely container movement from/ to port
• Schedules inbound and outbound appointments
• Checks in drivers, assigns dock doors and coordinates with Foreman

Systems, Documentation & Reporting

• Ensures all daily warehousing shipping and receiving activities are promptly and accurately entered into the system
• Maintains accurate and up to date shipment requirements, customer contacts and special instructions
• Prepares pick lists, packing lists, BOL’s, devan reports and pallet labels
• Contributes to daily, weekly, monthly reporting and KPI’s
• Maintains up to date filing as needed
• Continuous process improvement to help us keep working smarter

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize in fast-paced environment
• Proficient with MS Office suite and ERP/ WMS

Experience and Education

• 3+ years experience in a logistics coordinator or similar role
• Associate degree or comparable experience
• Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred
• Experience with CBP bonded warehousing a plus
• Experience in FDA, GMP’s and organic requirements a plus
