Talent Scout: Recruitment Specialist
Drivergent Transportation is a Metro Detroit school transportation company looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join our team in transporting students.
As a Recruitment Specialist for Drivergent Transportation, you will work with our management team to help shape and drive our continued growth strategy, employee acquisitions, and meet customer service expectations.
The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for the full cycle recruiting; sourcing, screening, interviewing, consulting with department leaders, extending job offers and onboarding new hires. Additionally, the Recruiter may assist with the implementation, administration, training, tracking and communication of human resources policies and programs including employment, employee records, and benefits.

General Responsibilities
- Manage entire recruitment process for identified employee needs
- Evaluate and screen potential hires and assist them through the interview and hiring process.
- Lead and coordinate the hiring process from sourcing and reviewing resumes, conduct phone screens, recommend candidate interviews, and facilitate recruiting process to final selection and offer step including negotiations.
- Identify social media and event-based recruiting opportunities to identify applicants and secure referrals.
- Implement and manage strategic sourcing programs to ensure staffing aligns with current and future company workforce needs for identified key positions.
- Support Human Resource Teams for hiring needs.
- Workforce planning: assists in building proactive plans to align workforce supply and demand across all positions.
- Work directly with hiring managers throughout recruiting and selection process.
- Provide recruiting status updates to management.
- Develop and manage relations with state and government agencies, universities, campus, and others in creating networks and relationships.
- Meets with hiring managers on a regular basis as potential gaps are identified and researched for identified key positions.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience or advanced degree with at least one year of full cycle recruiting experience and on-boarding new hire employees required.
- Excellent customer service skills are required. Must possess superb problem solving and multi-tasking skills with effective communicate skills, both verbal and in writing.
- Must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent computer skills required. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook applications.
- Takes accountability and ownership of his/her own work
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, deadline driven, adjust to shifting priorities, complete deliverables on-time, marketing strategy and brand guideline
- Ability to work independently or with a team, manage ambiguity and ask for guidance when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary Degree preferred
- Holds high ethical standards at all times
- Proven track record of reliability
- Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitude
- Bi-lingual abilities a plus
