We are seeking a Lube Technician to join our team! The Lube Technician is a skilled service truck operator/mechanic and experienced commercial truck driver (CDL) within the Site Division.
Qualified candidates must possess a Class B CDL, meet the minimum requirements, and maintain a current Hazmat endorsement. The incumbent must have a clean driving record to operate Commercial Trucks for Dowdy.
The selected candidate must be proficient in operating Commercial Straight Trucks, specifically Tandem and Tri-Axle Dump Trucks and Lube/Service Trucks.
Responsibilities:
- Receives daily route information from the Dispatch Manager
- Performs pre and post-trip inspections and documents all information on the condition of the vehicle, including;
- Tires
- Air System
- Brakes
- Windows
- Flasher, Lights, and Alarms
- Sign of cracks and wear and tear
- Fuel and fluids
- Any deficiencies.
- Abides by Local, State, and Federal motor vehicle laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
- Log Hours of service: Specify Drive Time, On-Duty Non-Drive Time, Off-Duty Time
- Responsible for not exceeding weight capacities and/or weight distribution for their vehicle.
- Maintains the necessary types and amounts of fluids for distribution to the heavy equipment, including:
- Grease
- Hydraulic Fluid
- DEF Fluid
- Fuel
- Waste Oil
- Anti-Freeze
- Provides regularly scheduled maintenance for Heavy Equipment per the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule, including 250, 500, 1000, and 2000-hour services.
