The Experiential Marketing Specialist will own experiential marketing initiatives within the marketing operations department, creating high-quality, differentiated events, customer interactions and virtual selling opportunities to grow brand awareness, positioning and customer engagement. This person will utilize deep digital expertise to create virtual and in-person experiences that lead to increased customer touches and improved lead conversion rates.
Role Responsibilities:
Plan and execute all experiential elements of the annual marketing plan for each assigned business unit within the North American region.
Own the virtual/online event marketing discipline, including webinars, virtual tours, demos and customer events.
Lead the execution of regional tradeshow strategy for both traditional and virtual tradeshows. Work in collaboration with regional marketing teams on annual corporate theme development, a coordinated global events calendar and best practices.
Manage the execution of several annual cornerstone North American events, including planning, budgeting, project management and measurement. Directs other team members in the implementation of smaller, regional events throughout the year.
Curate virtual selling activities and tools including webinars, online conferences, podcasts, email content and more.
Foster continuous innovation, test new capabilities and develop new ways to connect with customers digitally to support customer acquisition and conversion goals.
Perform lead management and integration activities related to experiential marketing activities, using customer relationship management and marketing automation platforms. Support integrated marketing communication, product management, and sales operations personnel to ensure timely lead follow-up and reporting.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking protocols to ascertain if experiential marketing efforts are having their desired impact.Perform regular return on investment analysis and provide feedback and recommendations to management.
Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to produce experiential marketing events. Manage purchasing, expenses and expense-reporting related to these activities.
Act as the primary marketing resource for the Donaldson customer experience center/demo room
Implement continuous improvement tools and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of all experiential marketing channels.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
Minimum of 3+ years of event planning and logistics management experience, including development of event strategy, annual plans, and execution. Knowledge of event/tradeshow best practices
Ability to travel (up to 20%) and work flexible hours
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing relationships with tradeshow vendors, agencies and other external partners
Proficiency (2+ years) of using customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.com
Proficiency (2+ years) of using Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word)
Minimum of 2+ years of digital customer acquisition and virtual selling experience, including development of strategy and best practices
Proficiency (1+ years) using marketing automation platforms, such as Marketo, or Eloqua
Proven ability to move easily between generating big, creative ideas to driving process improvement, to executing details and administration
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs from concept to completion
Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to influence without authority
Global business experience with proven ability to collaborate and implement marketing efforts across cultures and around the world
