*Annual Compensation: Eighty Five Thousand to One Hundred and Twenty Five Thousand Dollar per year.*
*CHANGE: Hybrid- will be onsite 2-3 days/week so must be commutable to the office*
*Description:*
The Automation Engineer reports directly to the Regional Managing Partner and is an integral part of each project at TriCore. Our Engineers are responsible for developing multiple projects utilizing a variety of automation technologies and platforms. These technologies are deployed for the control of automated manufacturing processes. Engineers often spend time and effort at customer sites assisting with startups. This position is best described as a contributing technical resource for external customer project delivery typically within a regional office. Work executed will be with a multi-discipline engineering team. This position requires acquisition and knowledge of engineering skills and technologies.
*Background and Work Experience:*
To be considered, candidates should have:
* Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree program in Engineering or other equivalent experience will be considered with solid evidence of success.
* Demonstrated proficiency with the following: electrical design, PLC ladder logic programming, HMI programming, computer programming, or commissioning.
* Knowledge and application of complex electrical principles and advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
* Demonstrated to be highly proficient with computer technologies including but not limited to, Windows Operating Systems, and the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred:
* Proficiency with the use of AutoCAD for electrical design.
* Experience with the creation of new programming and documentation rather than maintaining systems developed by others.
* Experience in the beverage, dairy, soft drink, food or other automated process industries.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Works on issues from limited to moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of relevant factors.
* Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
* Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
* Receives predetermined assignments subject to moderate level of control and review. Develops to receive assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.
* Developing professional expertise. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve variety of issues.
* Interacts with project teams and customer to produce technical deliverables.
* Program, configure, test, and commission PLC and HMI based control systems as assigned.
* Utilize TriCore’s standards and best practices.
* Understand and follow all safety, conduct, and policy requirements established by TriCore and clients.
Travel Requirements: Typical travel for this position is up to 25%.

*Requirements:*
To qualify for this position, an individual must be able to perform each of the primary tasks and responsibilities and meet the educational requirements. The individual must have strong communication skills, be capable of maintaining customer relationships, and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times.
*Education*:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred
*Specifications:*
* PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens, and/or GE
* HMI application experience with Rockwell, GE Intellution, and/or Wonderware software applications
* Visual Basic and Database Programming is a plus
* Knowledge of computer hardware, network technologies and equipment
* Knowledge of basic electrical circuits
* Software application experience utilizing Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
* Basic understanding of automated fluid processes
Job Type: Full-time
