Discount Dance has been the leader in dancewear for over 50 years with over ten in-house lines, and a stock of top name-brands. We are seeking a Graphic Designer who is comfortable working across multiple media platforms to help drive our visual story telling. This position requires you to have a solid understanding of general website functionality, e-commerce design trends and user-friendly interfaces. Being able to multitask while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment is key. Prior ballet dance experience is a must.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Most of your responsibilities will be creating landing pages, web banners and social media posts.
- Design crisp, modern, compelling communication materials.
- Ensure that all brand standards are consistently met. Maintain cross-channel graphic cohesiveness.
- Assist in catalog production process, prepare design for printing and proofing.
- Support marketing and public relations events through producing designs for trade shows and PR materials such as invitations, press kits, and inserts.
- Stay in contact with merchandising, marketing, and integration team to gather design requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional web and/or graphic design role within a fashion retail company and/or agency.
- AA or BA in Graphic Design, Media Arts.
- Expert level proficiency in Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and Illustrator with advanced knowledge of web-based platforms, browsers and related technologies.
- Video editing skills are a plus.
- Must work well across multiple teams, handle criticism and feedback from multiple sources.
- Experience working with print media and press checks.
- Advanced understanding of typography, identity design and brand guidelines.
- Knowledge of current trends in online and editorial design.
- Solid verbal and written communication.
- Dance background is a must.
