REMOTE DEFINITION:

This position requires an initial onsite training in our corporate headquarters (Irmo, SC) then transitioning to completely remote. Optional onsite events include quarterly and yearly employee appreciation events.

The Parts Specialist provides superior parts knowledge to employees, customers, manufactures. The right candidate will be able to assist with building parts databases, parts books, and cross references. They will also help with keeping all the parts databases up to date and accurate.

Responsibilities:

Provide quality service to include but not limited to the following:

• High Attention to detail managing inventory database.
• Review, familiarize with and adhere to Product Group Catalog.
• Meet and greet customers & manufactures
• Answer questions for non-parts employees in the department
• Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and provided
• Inform project manager when parts issues are found and needing to be fixed
• Data Entry Requirements
• Assist with inventory research projects as requested
• Adhere to required procedures
• Assist with parts project manager duties as assigned
• Uses training, knowledge and experience to research and solve day-to-day issues independently

Supervision Exercised: No direct reports.

Level of Supervision Received: Moderate

Required Experience: 10+ years in the parts industry or equivalent.

Knowledge Required:

• Basic knowledge of parts in the truck, marine, and off-highway industries.
• MS Office Products including Excel
• High level of Computer Competency

Physical Requirements: Sitting for long periods of time; standing occasionally; walking; bending; squatting; kneeling; pushing/pulling; reaching; twisting; frequent lifting of less than 10 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.; typing; data entry; grasping; transferring items between hands and/or to another person or receptacle; use of office equipment to include computers.

Travel: May require some travel to trade shows or customers locations.

Attire: Casual attire permitted. Professional attire may occasionally be required for specific events or meetings.

Other: Must be eligible to work in the USA. May be subject to criminal background checks.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
