Overview

Corporate Banking (CB) is a technology centric business, with an increasing move to real-time processing, an increasing appetite from customers for integrated systems and access to supporting data. Joining our team is a unique opportunity to help rebuild the core of some of our most mission critical processing systems from the ground-up. The engineers in the Digital Self Service tribe are building a strategic state-of-the-art platform focused on Payment Investigations using Java as the core skill.

What You’ll Do

• Accountable for engineering in Corporate Bank

• Deliver state of art solutions and be a hands-on technologist

• Maintain hygiene, risk, control, and stability at the core of every delivery

• Manage the software development life cycle (SDLC) of software components from concept and design development to all the way to production, including helping support the application to resolve production issues with appropriate triaging

• Partner with the user interface (UI)/UX design team, Architects, Business Analysts and Stakeholders situated in multiple regions and time-zones to understand requirements

• Collaborate with engineers to participate and contribute to design discussions and specifications

Skills You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s and/ or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Information Technology

• Application development experience using Agile Methodology is mandatory

• Experience in designing and developing Java based Monolithic/ Micro services using Spring Boot framework. Experience in modern Java Script frameworks – React JS, JavaScript. Strong experience in Kafka & Message Queue (MQ) Messaging technologies

• Hands-on experience with Structured Query Language (SQL). Experience with relational databases – Oracle (12 c or higher)

• Experience designing and devolving REST/SOAP application programming interface (API’s). Experience in Shell Scripting & working both on Unix & Windows platforms. Experience with modern SDLC tools- Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket

Skills That Will Help You Excel

• Structured approach to problem solving and strong analytical skills

• Experience with Kafka message/event stream-processing is a plus

• Experience with enterprise search platforms such as Elastic and/or Solr+ is a plus

• Strong MS-Office skills and experience with modern SDLC tools – JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence – is a plus

• Agile delivery knowledge and Google Cloud Platform experience is an added advantage

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary, NC office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $75K to $110K.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
