Position Summary
This position will develop and lead the transportation strategy for Deloitte University. Focused on mobility of guests, employees and distribution of goods and services to/from and throughout property, this position is responsible for managing all facets of transportation, logistics and mobility for DU. A successful Senior Manager will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Deloitte University operating model and strategic priorities. The individual should employ a forward-looking approach to identify solutions that enhance operational efficiency and overall guest experience. The individual will interface with DU Leadership and other leaders across the firm to assess complex issues and provide solutions.
The ability to drive sustainable, flexible, and safe options to ensure operational needs are achieved and guest experience is delivered is paramount. The successful individual will have a passion for customer service and innovation and the willingness to take on new challenges.
Work you’ll do
Collaborate with Real Estate team and Operations Leader to determine and advise pathways needed for movement throughout property, inclusive of route analysis, fleet sizing, speed, and flow. To include guest, staff and goods and services on separate pathways.
Inform transportation hub needs to ensure effective space for maintenance, charging and safe storage of fleet.
Identify fleet requirements for both guest flow and operational requirements and ensure flexible, sustainable, and accessible (ADA) options are included.
Connect with industry experts to understand fleet availability to include autonomous fleet, electric and hybrid options, and drones, driving sustainable options where possible.
Establish protocols for ongoing review, maintenance, and repair, maintain operational standards to ensure guest/staff safety, and coordinate all regular maintenance needs for all owned and leased equipment.
Participate in transportation sourcing events led by Procurement team to ensure objectives for guest transport to/from airports and overall experience can be achieved and assist in all contract negotiations.
Manage relationships with transportation companies and other transportation-related vendors that provide services to Deloitte University.
Work with Operations Leader to develop and implement transportation performance improvement projects in support of broader transportation strategy.
Manage the overall cost and operational performance of dedicated fleet.
Identify and communicate objectives, scope, approach, and detailed actions required to successfully execute and deliver a project or initiative on time and on budget.
Remain flexible if priorities change and drive implementation of projects and initiatives through thoughtful analysis, consensus, and effective communication.
Lead the development and ongoing changes to the overall DU Transportation strategy, inclusive of innovation, sustainability, accessibility, and operational efficiency to transport goods, services, and people throughout campus. Also includes ongoing strategy to ensure ease of transport of people to/from campus from DFW airports.
A Successful Candidate Will Possess:
Ability to understand complex issues and translate into implementable solutions
Desire to take on challenging projects with high profile stakeholders
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with a consultative style
Leadership/Change management – Ability to build consensus and work as part of a results-focused team
Guest-experience and hospitality focus to meet platinum level guest experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
Minimum 10 years experience in transportation or logistics management
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
