Dairy Farmers of America Looking for Automation & Controls Tech–Manufacturing (3rd shift ) at Orange City, FL Full Time
Job Description
T.G. Lee Dairy has immediate job openings for well-versed Automation and Controls Technician. Will be responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications.
Additional responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot / enhance PLC code and HMI screens created by others.
* Troubleshoot, calibrate, and replace process instrumentation (chart recorders, mass flow, mag flow, vortex flow, temperature, and pressure sensors).
* Troubleshoot / repair 0-10V & 4-20mA loop control circuits.
• Troubleshoot / repair 24V – 480V AC/DC motor and/or control circuits.
* Troubleshoot / repair motor starter and VFD controlled motors ranging from HP to 500 HP.
* Troubleshoot / repair industrial communication networks including: Remote I/O, DeviceNet, and Ethernet I/P networks
* Apply engineering principals to analyze and solve difficult production and processing problems.
* Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
* Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
* Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
* Responsible for food safety, pre*requisite programs and food quality related to designated area. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
RATE OF PAY:
* $32.26/hr.

* Sun – OFF
* Mon – 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
* Tues – 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
* Wed – OFF
* Thur – 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
* Fri – 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
* Sat – 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
* 2 years related experience required.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong knowledge of computer networks.
* Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects
* Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Experience with the following Rockwell Software products is highly desirable: RS Logix 5, RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, RS Linx Classic, RS Linx Enterprise, and Factory Talk View SE
* Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
* Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
* Attain and maintain required certifications
* Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, reach, bend, climb and occasionally sit throughout the entire shift.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary.
* Must be able to work in a wet/humid environment with moderate noise.
* Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
* Effectively work in a team environment.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment and respond to urgent repairs.
* Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug and background checks (including criminal).
