Daabon USA Looking for Food Safety Assurance Speciality in Miami, FL or Boulder, CO CO, FL, Telecommute/Work Remotely Full Time

We are seeking a Food Safety Assurance Specialist to:

• Manage our various 3rd party programs and related audits (ex. organic, Fair Trade).
• Manage product testing with 3rd party labs (for quality assurance).
• For any customer complaints/claims– coordinate the internal investigation with our production facilities in Latin America, as well as the identification of corrective actions and crafting the response for the customer.
• Manage our library of technical documents (ex. technical data sheets, SDS, product label templates).
• Complete customer documentation requests related to food safety (with support from our technical team if needed).
• Coordinate the shipment of sample requests from customers.
• Review and enhance our current document management processes to ensure best practices are being utilized.
• Use technical knowledge to support customer’s technical needs and questions.
• Participate in occasional travel to our U.S. or global headquarters as needed.

Candidates must have the following experience and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in quality assurance, food science, chemistry, manufacturing or a related field)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the food industry
• Previous experience with food safety standards preferred
• Ability to complete PCQI training certification
• Team-oriented and collaborative
• Responsible and reliable
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Skilled with technical writing and comprehension 
• Ability to learn and understand new concepts quickly
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
