Salary: $150-$225k + Bonus + Stock Options
Requirements: 10 years of progressive experience including leadership & Extensive knowledge of the Diabetes markets including digital health products
Location: Onsite in Lake Forest, CA
Must have: Degrees in Engineering and Marketing
Director of Marketing and Business Development needed now to direct the company’s product road map, ensure successful introduction and subsequent sales growth of the Company’s innovative products into diabetes markets. An ideal candidate will have extensive medical devices experience with emphasis on the diabetes market. You will be a proven leader with in-depth industry knowledge and a passion for improving the lives of our customers.
What You Need for this Position
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, MBA or advanced degree desirable
10+ years of progressive experience including leadership roles
Extensive knowledge of diabetes markets measurement technologies and consumer digital health products
Proven success with commercial release of consumer health products in both D2C and B2B environments
Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
Ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets for forecasting and analysis
Experience building high performance teams
Strong work ethic and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
What You Will Be Doing
Marketing
Develop short & long-term plans supporting our goals, translate plans into defined objectives, deliverables & forecasts.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, influencers, media and other stakeholders.
Design and carry out plans to increase brand awareness.
Ensure marketing communications are coordinated and support Company goals.
Prepare and adhere to the Marketing budget.
Collaborate with R&D, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, operations and KOL’s to ensure cross functional alignment.
Business Development
Assess existing & emerging technologies, understand implications of the technologies / analyze existing and new players.
Identify potential strategic partners and acquisition opportunities.
Engage in due diligence of strategic partners and acquisition targets.
Participate in industry professional organizations and activities.
Commercialization
Drive the successful launch and sales of the Company’s products.
Develop and implement commercialization plans for the products.
Execute creative and effective programs to grow product sales.
Market Research
Conduct market research and analysis including market & customer segments, market trends and technology trends.
Conduct competitor analyses/key market participants, technologies/products in the market, emerging players, technologies & trends.
Continuously evaluate competitors, market developments, and opportunities for and challenges to growth.
Product Development
Actively engage in product development, provide leadership and vision.
Incorporate customer relevance and usability into the product development process.
Apply market research and a sense of the customer to the product development process.
