Cousino Restoration Looking for Construction Laborer at Toledo, OH Full Time

Cousino Restoration is an operated emergency response contracting business with over 44 years of experience restoring homes and businesses throughout the United States with our headquarters based in Ohio. Our mission is to continuously expand our diverse talented staff of Sales Reps, Contractors, Technicians, Project Managers, Administrative Assistants etc.

We currently are seeking an experienced Carpenter/Construction in the Perrysburg, OH area who is comfortable working on multiple jobs, is familiar with carpentry and willing to do small project maintenance such as drywall repair, painting and basic maintenance The ideal candidates are punctual, thorough, have a positive attitude and is eager to work. Day shift. Pay $20.00 – $28.00 per hour. Also must have own vehicle preferably a truck or van. Gas allowance and mileage reimbursement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide safe operation of hand and power tools, including but not limited to temporary generators, ladders, routers, sanding equipment and table saws.
• Safely erect/assemble and disassemble scaffolding, poly containment and drop sheets.
• Provide sound housekeeping practices at customer job sites for structures.
• Secure exterior building materials including, but not limited to, roofing and siding, when required.
• Provide excellent customer service while working under time constraints to meet specific timelines.
• Build, erect and secure temporary and permanent partitions using a variety of building materials
• Follow a Safety First mindset. Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed and provide a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment.
• Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements.
• Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns to the appropriate person.
• Attend all Cousino Restoration sponsored training courses.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5-7 years of construction experience, required

• Knowledgeable in building code and construction math
• Work within a team, or independently
• Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Basic computer/tablet skills
• Ability to work evenings, on call, and weekends when requested

Physical Requirements:

• Operates mostly in the field at work sites/client locations, sometimes in our Warehouse
• Sustained periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, or kneeling
• Frequent lifting, assisted and unassisted depending on weight limitations
• Confined or limited spaces, providing limited access or mobility at times
• Heights over 5 feet, when necessary
