What to Expect in our Co-op Program:
Expand your technical and professional skills in a real-world setting. Copeland co-ops are given meaningful work, support, and mentorship from experienced managers and key business leaders. There is the potential to gain knowledge and experience in a variety of ways by exploring opportunities associated with your major and rotating through multiple departments.

As an Engineering Co-op, You Will:
- Support reliability engineering with hand-on product assessment and evaluations of electric motors,
- Support materials engineering group through component qualification testing and the construction/teardown of refrigeration test vessels used for extraction testing.
- Support the troubleshooting of Copeland test systems. This includes, but not limited to reviewing electrical schematics, building PCB controller boards, and/or the use of precise electrical equipment used for our dynamometers.
- Support all engineering lab work order requests.
Who You Are:
You define issues and can map out a process. You stay on top of new communications technologies. You solicit both input and discussion. You balance planning with action.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
- Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
- 2.75 Cumulative GPA
- Familiarity with HVAC systems
- Understanding of basic electric machines (induction and BPM motors)
- Operating instrumentations and meters using test procedures and user manuals

About our Location
This location is the host of Copeland’s corporate headquarters and Commercial and Residential Solutions Tools, Hermetic Motors, and other businesses. Our products, such as the InSinkErator, Sensi, and RIDGID have become household names that support the comfort and well-being of our customers. The ComRes platform employees at this location provide support to the various businesses within Commercial and Residential Solutions, allowing for many networking opportunities across businesses. The connectedness between ComRes and Corporate employees allows for a close relationship and the opportunity to explore opportunities across Copeland.
