Job Summary
Assist with the management of the facility Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure operations minimize the impact upon the environment and a safe and incident-free work environment.
Essential Position Responsibilities
• Assist in creating Safety Training Program and Materials and track progress
• Assist with maintaining and distributing reports on a routine basis tracking the status of various environment, health & safety metrics, and initiatives versus goal
• Assist in the implementation of corporate initiatives such as the metric tracking systems, training systems, etc.
• Must assist and be a leader in applying safety key concepts to provide the road map to zero injuries & world class performance (Training, Behavior Observations, and Engagement)
• Research, work with vendors and suppliers, and purchase safety-related materials (Personal Protective Equipment, etc.)
• Participates in the incident reporting and analyses process
• Assists in monitoring activities for employee health & safety issues
• Assists with the development & maintenance of emergency action plans
• Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections and follow-up on corrective actions
• Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
• Degree in Risk Management or related discipline and/or 1-2 years related experience
• Awareness of food safety, quality, and food manufacturing processes preferred
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools & fundamentals
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Competent in WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and OUTLOOK
• Must be able to demonstrate conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Ability to interpret technical information in mathematical and/or narrative form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
• Must be a good communicator, bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot or cold temperatures. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Compensation:
Annual Salary: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00
