Perform nursing practice in accordance to relevant policies and guidelines.
Demonstrate a high level of understanding, knowledge, and skills in general medical/nursing practice.
Initiate, participate, and contribute to the development of clinical knowledge and skills of new and existing staff.
Assist in developing and evaluating curricula.
Evaluate nurses by implementing clinical skills competencies.
Manage the scheduling and delivery of training for new and existing staff.
Maintain existing training programs and update materials as needed, including inventory of supplies.
Conduct site visits to observe updates to workflow and ensure compliance with policy.
Assess training needs and develop curriculum of new programs.
Maintain appropriate records of training activities and staff development.
Demonstrate proficiency in clinical information systems.
Develop and revise standing delegation orders and policies as indicated.
Assist in the selection and ongoing education of clinic preceptors.
Proctor elective courses for ongoing training of existing staff.
Participate in meetings and committees directly affecting training curriculum.
Ensure that clinical education adheres to The Joint Commission Standards, CDC, and other applicable regulatory agencies.

Design training programs appropriate to the skills needed, and ensure clinical staff receives the necessary education and training to perform their duties.
Ensure that all training and associated tasks comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards including The Joint Commission and CommUnityCare Standard Operating Procedures and CommUnityCare Policies and Procedures.
Develop and maintain favorable internal relationships and partnerships with coworkers at all levels.
Ensure all actions, job performance, personal conduct, and communications always represent CommUnityCare in a highly professional manner at all times.
Uphold and ensure compliance and attention to all company policies and procedures as well as the overall mission and values of the organization.
Maintain current licensure requirements.
MINIMUM EDUCATION Associate degree in Nursing
PREFERRED EDUCATION Bachelor of Science in Nursing
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE Three (3) years of relevant nursing experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting. Evidence of excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Experience in orientation and education of nursing staff in a clinical setting. Experience in program design and evaluation. Knowledge and experience in adult education and learning principles.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE Current license to practice nursing in the State of Texas. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE Nursing Professional Development Certification.
