Collin College is a growing college serving over 56,000 students across twelve campuses and centers within our service area north of Dallas in Collin County, Rockwall County, and portions of Denton County. The college’s vision is, “Delivering a brighter future for our students and communities.” To help us achieve our vision, we are searching for a Chief Human Resources Officer to lead a team of 20 committed HR professionals in streamlining processes and helping our 2,500+ full-time and part-time faculty and staff to maximize their access to benefits and HR services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and Physical Effort
Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking, and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort is required.
A Master’s degree or higher in a related field from a regionally accredited institution is required.
Five (5) years of leadership experience is required, including demonstrated experience in one or more senior Human Resources-related roles. Experience should include Employee Relations, Employment/Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and/or Benefits, as well as three (3) years in a supervisory role. Experience working within a large organization (especially an institution of higher education) and experience with ERP/Workday and HR systems implementations is desired, as are the SPHR and related professional certifications.
