E&E Foods is launching a search for a seasonal Packaging Supervisor at our Coffee Point Plant in Egegik, Alaska. In this role, the ideal candidate will supervise our case-up team for the E&E Foods Bristol Bay operation. They will ensure accuracy of all toted product by type and weight prior to be loaded for shipping.
The successful candidate will:
The Case- up Supervisor will need to be a self-starter with ability to work independently and maintain professional demeanor and attitude. They must be a problem solver with tremendous attention to detail and able to work effectively despite persistent interruptions and changing priorities.
They must possess good verbal & written communication skills and have strong interpersonal communication skills. They will need to be a team player and work positively with others within every aspect of Coffee Point Seafoods and E&E Foods Corporate Team.
Finally, they will need to be well organized and have strong mathematical skills. Inventory software skills and experience are required (preferably with Parity Factory software). Previous salmon season experience is a must, previous experience with tunnel freezers and double dip glazers a plus.
· Manages the case-up team.
· Supervise frozen products coming out of the freezer.
· Ensure that all products are labeled correctly.
· Ensure that all inventory is correctly loaded on the trailers.
· Work with Corporate Safety Director to insure adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
· Develops long-term working relationships with employees, department managers and Plant Managers.
· Follow all company policies and procedures, and show leadership in supporting those policies and procedures.
· Other duties as assigned.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
· The starting wage is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour straight time and $30.00 to $33.00 per hour overtime.
· Round trip airfare from largest city near point of hire to plan location in Alaska.
· Free room and board
WORK ENVIRONMENT and LIVING LOCATION:
· Must be able to sustain a 12 hour per day/7 days a week work schedule for the duration of the season, approximately Mid May/Early June through late July/early August.
· Housing is dormitory style, and you may share a room with up to 3 people.
· There are no health care options readily accessible.
· There is no cellphone signal and limited internet available. Communication is very limited.
