Our Electrical Engineers perform assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Limited exercise of judgement is required on details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Supervisor screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work. Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments.

Loveland Water and Power Engineering is looking for a dynamic Electrical Engineer to join our team. You’ll have the ability to cross train and learn other areas of engineering and work with a variety of utility staff including line crews, designers, vendors and the public. Our ideal candidate will have prior utility experience, familiarity with utility infrastructure, an interest in new generation technology and grid automation, and experience with technology software and tools such as AutoCAD, ArcMap, and Milsoft.

Education and/or formal training: Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, or equivalent required.
Experience:
Electrical Engineer I is an entry level position.
Electrical Engineer II: Minimum three (3) years relevant experience in medium or high voltage power systems demonstrating progressively more responsibility in assignments. Prior utility experience or familiarity with utility infrastructure preferred.
Licensure and/or certifications:
Material and equipment directly used: Standard office equipment, computer, telephone, cellular telephone, motor vehicle, 2-way radio,
