The Logistics Operation team has two openings for a Part Specialist I. In this role, you will be working as a member of our distribution center team. You will use your ability to multitask, and provide exceptional customer service to:
Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections of vehicle at the beginning and end of shift to ensure vehicle is in proper working order, and there is no damage to the vehicle
Safely pick up and deliver part transfers, and vendor pickups to storerooms. Pick up any returns and paperwork from storerooms to be returned to vendor and/or distribution center
Verify stock parts being transferred from our distribution center to other storerooms. Confirming that part numbers, and quantity is correct
Use email requests to ensure all part orders are picked up from vendors accurately and completely. By comparing vendor invoices to requests making sure all parts have been billed, quantity is correct, and tax has not been charged
Unpack, inspect, and verify quality and quantity of parts received against a packing list or invoice
Stock shelves in distribution center, and at our ten current storerooms in the City and County of Denver. Perform daily inventory counts on any stock parts pulled, and put away to ensure a constant up to date and accurate inventory
Maintain security, orderliness, and cleanliness of distribution center, storerooms, storage areas, and city vehicle
Assist with projects in our distribution center and department wide (i.e. assembling shelving, moving stock part locations, label aisle and shelf locations, etc.)
Operate a forklift, and use various tools including pallet jacks, carts, and dollies for movement and storage of stock and special-order items
Assist in the training of employees to identify parts, materials, and perform computer functions
Interact with city vendors and the public in a courteous and professional manner.
This position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00PM – 11:00PM. This position does have occasional weekend work, and overtime.

Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: One (1) year of stockroom experience in automotive or light/heavy-duty equipment repair, including parts identification receiving, stocking, issuing, and maintaining inventory records of automotive and heavy-duty equipment parts and equipment.
Education and Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
License/Certification Requirement: This job requires driving. Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application.
