This position aims to provide the City with engineering and computer-aided drafting and right-of-way administration-related support services. This is accomplished by maintaining City base maps, updating the GIS database, geoprocessing, and customer service support. Other duties may include creating civil engineering construction drawings, sketches, and layouts for presentations, supporting City departments, maintaining City records, processing right-of-way permits, providing various forms of administrative service, and interfacing with other City employees and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.

Valid Class C driver’s License
Overall Physical Strength Demands
Sedentary – Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.
Reading
Intermediate – Ability to read papers, periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in high school up to college. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study.
Math
Advanced – Ability to apply fundamental concepts of theories, work with advanced mathematical operations methods, and functions of real and complex variables. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in at the college level or above. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study.
Writing
Intermediate – Ability to write reports, prepare business letters, expositions, and summaries with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in high school up to college. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study.
Managerial
Receives general directions. The employee normally performs the job by following established standard operating procedures and/or policies. The employee may choose the appropriate procedure or policy. Performance is reviewed periodically.

No responsibility for the direction or supervision of others.
