The Chief Technology Office plays a critical role in fulfilling the firm’s commitment to safety and soundness by ensuring Citi delivers efficient and high-quality solutions and technologies, coordinating foundational macro technology strategies, ensuring Citi’s readiness to safely leverage new technologies, and making Citi a competitive destination for the best technical talent.

The Infrastructure Technical Lead is one of the key roles that exist on the team. In this role, you will be part of the global HCX migrations team responsible for end-to-end solutions to reduce Citi’s exposure to EOVS products. The position reports to the Migrations Infrastructure Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for infrastructure solutions of VMware platform.

Infrastructure Technical Lead

The Infrastructure Technical Lead is a position responsible for a variety of activities including but not limited to migrations, acquisitions, infrastructure solutions, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Virtualization Operations, Software Defined Networking, and Automation teams to meet deadlines set by upper management, resolve infrastructure issues, automate overly manual processes, etc.
• Assist in the development of automated reporting to track KPIs for the migration projects.
• Streamline manual processes via automation, such as HCX/V2V migrations, scheduling, ServiceNow CHG management, etc.
• Support day-to-day operations for migrations by collaborating with internal and external teams to create solutions for any issues.
• Consult with end users and clients to identify and correct systems problems and propose solutions.
• Adhere to Citi technology standards, audit requirements and corporate compliance issues and requirements
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in large-scale enterprise class infrastructure operations role with an understanding of virtualization technologies and best practices
• Knowledge of the entire VMware virtualization stack, including HCX, vSphere, ESXi, vROPs, NSX-V and NSX-T
• Understanding of core networking topics such as TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across both technical and non-technical teams
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
• Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Proven track record of operational process changes and improvement
• Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment required
• Experience interfacing with project management, project planning, and writing technical documentation

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
