Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician II contributes to high quality, patient-centered care performing technical tasks vital to the distribution of medications. Under the supervision of the attending Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II accurately compounds, fills, labels, and distributes ordered medication according to departmental procedure and federal/state/local regulations. The Pharmacy Technician II maintains the drug inventory and patient records and implements quality checks and performance improvement measures.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
· 1+ years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician required.
· Minimum 3 months experience in product compounding preferred.
· Certification as a Pharmacy Technician as mandated by state of practice is required.
· State Board of Pharmacy Registration (if applicable for state) required.
· ASHP Sterile Preparation Institutional Training Certification or similar a plus.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
