A day in the life of a Project Assistant:
This position requires initial research and review of Prior Authorization request submitted from our Medicare supplier’s, requesting a Prior Authorization (PA) for one of the four Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supply items within the PA program. The PA Project assistant utilize the various CGS computer systems to assist them with this process. The Project Assistant work closely with our Prior Auth clinicians to ensure accurate information is being disseminate to the supplier community regarding their PA request. They also regularly engage with other DME operational areas including management, to receive and give feedback as it relates to the Prior Authorization programs.

What You’ll Do:
Provide coordination for a variety of area-specific projects.
Complete project support functions, gather information and prepare letters, reports, graphs, forms, or presentations.
Organize and expedite workflow through management’s office, including maintaining highly confidential files and records, both paper and electronic. Coordinate with purchasing to ensure adequate supplies are on hand at all times.
Coordinate and complete special projects as assigned by management.
To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:
Required Education: Associate’s Degree OR Two years of job-related work experience OR a combination of education and experience equal to two years.
Required Work Experience: Two years of project coordination or other job-related work experience, including one year working proficiently with word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Required Software and tools: Microsoft Office.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills.
Good judgment skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic business math proficiency.
Strong analytical or critical thinking skills.
Excellent knowledge of business etiquette and letter composition.
We Prefer That you have:
Experience in a DME environment is strongly preferred.
Three years of administrative, project specialization, or industry-specific experience.
Harvard graphics and desktop publishing.
Customer service skills.
Ability to persuade, negotiate, and/or influence.
Ability to run DB2 queries.
