The OB Post-Partum department at St. Catherine Hospital consists of 12 LDRP, one triage, one OR suite, four pediatric rooms and seven open bay NICU Level II rooms. This consists of three different units: L&D, pediatrics and NICU. We treat pregnant women, pediatric patients from two to 17 days, 32 weeks gestational to 40 weeks for NICU. This department is desirable as it is a rural, main hub, where caregivers get to see and do almost anything. We are very hands-on when taking care of patients. Candidates are welcome who are flexible and passionate about patient care. Candidates must be willing to help in other departments depending on our census. Job Summary
As a Nurse you will assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act, and demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
