Central Washington University is recruiting a Lecturer – Bilingual (Spanish) and Dual Language Teacher Education to join our Education, Development, Teaching and Learning team in Yakima, Washington. We’re offering a salary, depending on education and experience, from $42,750 – $53,460 annually plus the awesome CWU benefits.

The Role:
This position is in the Department of Education, Development, Teaching, and Learning (EDTL). The faculty member will teach existing introductory and advanced Bilingual/Dual Language/Elementary Education courses, with emphasis at the elementary level using a variety of modalities. Some courses will be taught bilingually (Spanish/English.) The faculty member will be involved in coordinating the Dual Language Elementary Education program at the Yakima Center and collaborating with the program leadership in Ellensburg and other centers. Faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to a constructivist philosophy; keep abreast of current and emerging education trends, mentor students, and contribute to the department/program. Faculty will integrate CWU’s commitment to diversity and create a learning environment that is welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all students. Primary job duties and responsibilities will take place in Yakima, WA. Distance Education, online, and teaching at the Ellensburg campus may be required.

Pay & Work Schedule
Annual Salary : $42,750 – $53,460, based on a full-time nine-month appointment.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
Appointment: Temporary, Non-Tenure-Track, 9 Month Appointment. Additional Summer teaching may be available. Central Washington University is on the quarter system with appointments from mid-September through mid-June
