Job summary:
We are looking for manufacturing engineers that are ready to work independently and as part of a team to help drive our operations forward in terms of quality, velocity, cost.
You will be an integral part of the manufacturing staff and responsible for varying projects and tasks designed to maintain, analyze, design, improve, and measure effectiveness of improvements made to our processes and systems used in the manufacturing of our products.
What you will do:
Analyzes and recommends current and future systems, procedures, training, and equipment needs based upon understanding and communication from customers and users.
Analyzes engineering change notices, determines any part or process change, initiates, and implements all changes.
Provides analysis and recommendations needed to allow manufacturing to produce the engineering product designs.
Simulates present and future machine lines and cells to predict line flow problems and makes recommendations for implementation.
Determines acceptability of new equipment based on usage requirements and recommends modification or revision as necessary.
Designs or directs the acquisition, design, fabrication and repair of all necessary tooling and machines.
Determines, contacts, and negotiates with external suppliers for machines, tooling, parts, and contracted labor.
Establishes and maintain bill of materials and work orders to support cost management system.
Monitors all exchange and in-house requirements, monitors salvage rates, analyzes core receipts and schedules and procures all new parts necessary to meet schedules.
Engages in day to day troubleshooting of process problems, initiates solutions, provides effective communication, and verifies effective and sustainable solution is implemented and documented as required
Provide manufacturing technical support in process control and internal certification
Adhere to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties
What you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering AND 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role OR in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineer role will be considered
Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement concepts (Lean manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc…)
Working knowledge of quality control standards
Top candidates will also have:
Graduate degrees in manufacturing or industrial engineering
Automotive, aerospace, electronics manufacturing experience
NC programming experience
Capital project management experience
PMP certification
