We serve a population of over 250,000 and feature two hospitals, two urgent cares, an emergent care center, outpatient services and a provider network with 19 regional locations.Summary Under the general direction of the Employee Health Manager, this position provides administrative coordination such as scheduling appointments, maintaining files, data entry, and facilitating visitor needs. Provides a wide variety of administrative coordination to the Employee Health Nurses including data collection and entry, auditing new hire health documents, taking vitals, completing blood draws, maintaining records, and preparing reports. Tracks employee annual requirements. Orders office supplies as needed.
Responsibilities Coordinates and maintains data for the National Health Safety Network (NHSN) reporting; including CMS regulatory requirements for influenza and COVID-19. Organizes data collection, lab draw coordination and compliance throughout the organization with USP 800 – Chemo Surveillance o Facilitates correspondence and follow up with employees on OSHA annual testing requirements, sends RFT supplies to offsite locations, ensures supplies returned at end of process, maintains RFT report in compliance with OSHA regulations. Maintains entry and accuracy of WebIZ, Nevada immunization registry, Stix Agility and other databases. Provides report presentations as requested for compliance monitoring of annual and regulatory requirements for all employees, providers, volunteers, and contract services. Maintains all department medical employment paper/electronic records / files for all employees, providers, volunteers, and contract services. Initiates aspects of the onboarding process including performing weight, vital signs, lab draws and respiratory fit tests. Coordinates onboarding process to include initial charts and ensures completion of all requirements prior to data entry, scanning, and final filing. Ensures that all onboarding medical and contract staff are compliant with CTH policies, OSHA, and Nevada regulations. Coordinates the department staff and employee schedules. Liaison between occupational health clinic and workforce, providing reliable and expedient responses. Coordinates education as needed for the following departments that include but are not limited to registration, patient access, and lab. Updates exposure packets for the health system on ctNet. Inventories, orders, and ensures proper level of office and medical supplies for department. Coordinates recalibration of medical equipment on an annual or on a routine basis. Coordinates with employee any compliance needs related to vaccinations including but not limited to Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, COVID, Influenza, MMR, Tdap and Varicella immunizations. Process release of medical records information according to hospital policy and national standards. Phlebotomy: registers employee into EPIC, scans order, performs phlebotomies, collects specimen for ordered tests, correctly labels specimen and delivers specimen to laboratory. Coordinates tracking of flu vaccination status, flu POD annually, participates in roaming vaccinations, organizes supplies and sends all necessary supplies to offsite locations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required High School diploma or equivalent. Two (2) to four (4) years recent front office or customer service experience with increasing responsibility. State of Nevada Laboratory Assistant License. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for healthcare provider’s certification. Preferred Associate degree in related field. Knowledge of medical terminology.
