Carroll University seeks Adjunct Instructors of Education to teach in the Masters of Arts of Teaching Program Summer 2023.
Course: EDU553: Special Methods in Teaching Secondary School Subjects.
Section C: Art
Time/Days: This is a hybrid course with required monthly face-to-face class meetings that meet on four Saturdays from 8-noon on 4 Saturdays at Carroll University. The rest of the instruction is completed in an asynchronous online format.
Course description: This course is designed to examine models of learning and instruction at the secondary level, in order to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for a diversity of learning environments and platforms. Pedagogy and best practices within specific content areas will be explored. Students will develop skills to engage students in learning; form learning communities and use technology to enhance teaching and learning. Students will build an understanding of their content specific standards. Students will explore, understand and develop a unit within their specific content areas.

The School of Education and Human Services: The Department of Education is housed in the new School of Education and Human Services (SEHS). The school, in its inaugural year, builds on the rich legacy and tradition of outstanding undergraduate and graduate education programs. In addition to the many programs in the Department of Education, the school looks forward to growing to meet the educational and professional needs of the community and begins with the addition of a Master of Science in Behavioral Health Psychology starting in Fall 2021.
