Care to Stay Home is looking to grow our staffing levels of in-home caregivers to meet the ongoing needs of the senior community throughout Kootenai County.  We are looking for dedicated caregivers with at least one year of caregiving experience, authorized to work in the US and that possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.  Punctuality and near perfect attendance are critical factors towards success in this field.

Care to Stay Home provides you with:

• Entry level pay of $16-$18 an hour, experience and certifications will be considered in determining actual starting salary.

• 4, 8 or 12 hour day schedules between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

• 12 hour night schedules from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am or 8:00 pm to 8:00 am.

• A minimum of 20 hours per week is required.

• A set schedule with one client so you know your schedule every week. (We can also give you additional hours with other clients if you want.)

• A Care Management team that will ensure your success:

• Onboarding and orientation program,

• Introduction to you client and care plan on your first shift,

• On-going check ins and assistance,

• Availability to provide specific training and answers to questions about your client. 

• 24 hour support from our dedicated and friendly office staff.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide personal care assistance to clients in their homes 

• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing

• Medication reminders as directed by care plan

• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary 

• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up 

• Accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

Qualifications/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently

• Compassionate and patient demeanor

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
