Key Role Details

• Full-time new hires for this role will start as a cohort in August 2024.

• This role is a full-time associate position within a 18-month rotational program, designed as a career accelerator to foster the next generation of leading talent.

• Participation in the program requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s .

Basic Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors or higher with an expectation that degree will be obtained by August 2024 or earlier.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or quantitative discipline, including computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, and mathematics

• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills

• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

• Intermediate to advanced programming skills or experience in one or more of the following areas: Java, .net, asp.net, PHP, Python, Objective C, C#, C/C++, Perl, XML, JSON, UML, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Swift, Go, Kotlin, HTML, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripts

As a Software Engineer in the Technology Development Program, you may work on everything from customer-facing web and mobile applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful services, to back-end Java based systems using the hottest techniques in Big Data. Our engineers work in a “You Build It, You Own It” full stack environment supporting an exciting and innovative tech stack composed of: Java, React, Angular, Vue JS, C#, REST APIs, NoSQL database, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, AWS cloud, Scala, Clojure, Java, Haskell, C++, golang, Scheme, Common Lisp, and more!
