Camp Rim Rock is Hiring for Summer 2022!

Camp Rim Rock, an all-girls sleep away camp, is looking for experienced riders to provide English riding instruction in ring lessons, trail riding, swim with horses, and stable management. Work on a team to provide general care to the horses, tack, and barns. But most importantly, be good role models for girls and create friendships that will last a lifetime!

There are two types of positions available: Horseback Riding Counselors who assist other counselors in caring for children in the unit in which they live, when not at the barn. Senior Barn Staff who work in our riding program, but live in shared adult-only housing. We also have some open Barn Heads/Leadership positions.

You’ll have a fantastic time at Camp Rim Rock if you have an outgoing personality, a good sense of humor, strong teaching skills in your activity area, and good leadership ability. While it is preferable that our staff members have some experience working with children, this is not a prerequisite. The capacity to provide warm, mature guidance is most important!

ABOUT CAMP RIM ROCK:

Founded in 1952, Camp Rim Rock is one of the best overnight camps for girls in the country. Camp Rim Rock is situated on 500 acres and is located less than 2 hours from Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Our campers range in ages from 6 to 15. We hire staff from across the country, and cover the cost of travel for staff members from out of state.

We have 70 horses, 500 acres including trails, and 6 riding rings. Jump standards, poles, and cones are in each of the four lesson rings.
