We’re hiring a Marketing and Sales Manager

This role will be responsible for customer experience and catering sales, interacting directly with CYM guests and supporting our shop teams to create the best overall guest experience. Your friendly and positive attitude, quick responses, and organized systems will ensure guests stay happy and generate even more brand love. This role includes taking the lead on customer service through email and social media, and assisting guests with their catering orders. In addition, this role will drive the development of existing business and generate new leads and sales opportunities. We’re looking for a team player who will also assist our marketing team with campaigns, events, and community programs. This is a full-time, entry-level position that will report directly to our Chief Strategy Officer.

As a CYM team member, you’ll make an impact by:

Your core responsibilities will be:

• Provide excellent customer service via email, phone, and social media

• Resolve customer service issues in a friendly and direct way; escalate any immediate issues

• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, CYM systems (Toast, R365, DoorDash, UberEats Catering Software), and business details to solve problems and ensure all our communication is accurate and up to date

• Guide guests through menu, offerings, and pricing; lead and assist with the planning of their menu and order; identify and facilitate special requests

• Coordinate catering order details with the shop teams and schedule catering pickups and deliveries when appropriate

• Prior to event dates for major holidays or special events, confirm all order details with the guests, shop teams, Commissary teams

• Work with CSO and Culinary team to create new menu items for holidays and special events that meet customer demands and drive new business

• Follow up on all catering inquiries/leads to secure future business

• Create opportunities to gain new business through proactive outreach

• Manage email lists and segmentation

• Manage online profiles including Google Business, Yelp, Facebook

• Conduct guest surveys and solicit feedback to grow and improve business

• Help execute marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, PR, etc

You’ll be a great addition to the CYM team if you:

• Have 1-2 years experience in a customer service role

• Have 1-2 years experience in social media marketing

• Have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• Are organized and like to build systems (you love inbox zero and email labels)

• Enjoy hospitality and serving others

• Take initiative and enjoy problem solving

• Are pleasant in dealing with guests and team members, with ability to perform in demanding situations

• Have high energy and stamina in a fast-paced environment; works calmly under pressure

• Treat others with kindness and respect

• Are a team player and always willing to help others

• Have a sense of humor, positive attitude, and passion for food

• Can work flexible schedules and be present for a combination of weekdays, weekends and holidays; you’ll work five days per week (hybrid in-person and remote) with two days off with a schedule driven by the needs of the business
