QUALIFICATIONS:
- Assist in developing a garment from sketch to final product, working with sample room and patternmakers.
- Knowledge of construction and draping
- Strong technical skills
- Able to indentify trends & translate them into saleable styles
- Knowledge of fabric & trim market
- Fluent in photoshop & Adobe Illustrator
- Hand sketching a must
- Have strong follow-up skills and be able to multi-task
- Quick learner with ability to retain information
DUTIES:
- Flat sketching
- Develop embroidery & print layouts
- Costing
- Tech Packs
- Maintain fabric library
- Sourcing
- Cad work
- Follow up on all design related purchasing & development
- Errands
Candidate must be hard working, self motivated and detail oriented. A strong interest in the Green movement and knowledge of recycled products a plus. Minimum 3-5 years experience in the garment industry.
