Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst will be a part of the Corporate FP&A and Wholesale finance team, reporting to the Senior Finance Director. Key responsibilities include assisting with the month-end close and conducting variance analyses, managing the P&L for the annual budget and monthly forecast processes, synthesis and maintenance of reports, completing ad hoc projects, and other necessary functions based on business needs.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate and lead meetings with cross-functional partners during the month-end close to determine accruals and ensure accuracy of results.
• Manage reporting of month-end financials for sales, margin, expenses, and more; create journal entries; perform balance sheet reconciliations; provide variance analyses and commentary on actuals vs budget, forecast, or LY; work across multiple systems to generate relevant data and reports.
• Ownership of the processes and models to generate the annual budget and monthly forecasts. Responsible for comprehensive (sales to EBITDA) Wholesale P&L and collaborating with the sales and planning teams to understand key performance drivers.
• Complete ad hoc projects to provide crucial insights into the Wholesale business; continuously improve the efficiency of current processes and models.
• Candidate should possess system savviness, learn things quickly, be able to work independently, and have the drive to succeed. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, strong basic accounting skills, and ability to maintain precise data are also requisites.
Qualifications
Experience:
• 5 – 7 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in the retail / wholesale sector
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably finance or accounting majors
• Advanced degree, CPA, or MBA a plus
