Supervises and coordinates the nursing care and services provided residents of an assigned unit er at Brethren Retirement Community
Shifts:
3rds: 10pm-6am am

About the Position:
- Ensure the maintenance of high quality resident care by giving medications and treatments to residents as ordered
- Directly supervises 2-7 employees in the nursing unit;
Nursing Assistants - Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees
- Planning, assigning; and directing work
- Appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Arranging for adequate supplies and properly functioning equipment.
- Identifying resident problems and needs, setting goals, interventions and writing on plan of care
- Completing or assisting with activities left from previous shift
- Encouraging rehab/restorative programs to improve resident functioning
- Enhance professional and personal growth and development by:
Attending mandatory facility in-services and seeking in-service education related to a long term care setting
Requirements:
- State of Ohio LPN License
- At least a 1 year certificate from college ol
- Equivalent combo of education and experience
- Reading, writing, speaking, and math skills
- Lift/move up to 50 lbs
