Breakaway Tours Looking for Transportation/Logistics Assistant (Internship/Co-Op) at Toronto Ontario MT A Full Time

Today, we continue to travel to new mountains and cities, creating one of a kind experiences for our travellers.BRIEF OVERVIEW OF POSITIONTransportation/Logistics Coordinators are selected to manage and execute transportation logistics specific aspects of a Breakaway Tours program. We are offering this position to students still in school in need of a field placement (co-op, internship etc.).The successful candidate will be expected to work approximately 15-20 hours per week starting in mid January. The position is remote, and training will be done online.The Transportation/Logistics Coordinator will also be required to attend 2 trips to Montreal to assist in managing logistics. These trip dates are as follows:February 15th- February 22nd, 2022March 10th- March 18th, 2022ELIGABILITYOnly students who meet the following criteria are eligible:

• Registered in a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution (part-time or full-time enrolment in college, bachelors, masters or PhD programs).
• Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. International students are not eligible.
• Undertaking a placement that is recognized as a Work-Integrated Learning component by the students institution in connection with a course, degree, certificate, diploma, or other recognized program offered by the institution. The placement can be required or optional, for credit or not for credit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Manages all transportation logistics
• Responsible for coordinating arrivals and departures of buses at hotels in Quebec
• Dispatch for all Bus Captains/buses while on the road
• Manages all Bus Driver relations; including scheduling, conducting daily meetings, addressing any issues they bring up, etc.
• In charge of delegating the creation of bus loading plans for events & excursions
• In charge of all shuttle schedules, routes, and logistics during night events and excursions

EDUCATIONStudents must be currently enrolled in one of the following educational programs or a program of similar nature:

• Hospitality
• Tourism
• Transportation
• Logistics
• Event Planning

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in Team Management & Supplier Relations, or a desire to gain this experience
• Comfortable working long hours and evening shifts to provide trip leaders and passengers with a constant point of contact during their trip
• Organized, hardworking, able to work in a team environment
• Strong communicator and self motivated/organized
• Fluency in French is an asset
