The Accelerated Clinical Experience (ACE) Program is a 12-week program designed specifically to support new-to-practice nurses and help them find their passion through experiences on multiple nursing units throughout our hospital.
Each participant will experience personalized unit rotations, routine leader check-in’s, new-graduate events, education opportunities and more! At the end of the 12-week program, participants will work with our team to determine best-fit permanent unit placement. Perks of the program continue past the 12-week cohort. Participants receive ongoing support throughout their first year from our New-Graduate team, including mentorship and personalized assistance with various avenues for professional growth and development.

Requirements:
Work a combination of 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts to align with their preceptor’s schedule for up to 40 hours per week. This may include weekend shifts.
Actively participate in learning experiences and share their experiences with the group
Develop and use preceptor and educator relationships to enhance their clinical experience
Summary of Primary Function
Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifies and determines the priority of patient’s problems/needs, and evaluates the process and outcome of nursing care; coordinates, provides and directs patient teaching activities and coordinates the care provided by health team members.
Essential Job Functions
In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness; administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Bon Secours Mercy Health policies and procedures; serves as point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments. Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department. Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery

Certifications
BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred)
Valid nursing license from the state of practice (required)
Education
Associate of Nursing, nursing (required)

Diploma in Nursing (required)
Bachelors of Science, nursing (preferred)
