The Mortgage Quality Compliance Specialist performs comprehensive Quality Control (QC) testing of mortgage originated, canceled/rejected, and Early Payment Default (EPD) loans/applications or servicing data, processes, activities, and interactions between Mortgage Servicing and customers to ensure compliance with investor guidelines, regulatory requirements, and BOKF’s internal policies and procedures. This includes evaluating risks to the business, identifying and reporting any gaps (existing or new), recommending practical solutions to mitigate risk, and performing validation activities to ensure identified issues are fully resolved. The Mortgage Quality Compliance Specialist has a direct relationship with business managers and supervisors to ensure mortgage products and services are operating within regulatory and investor guidelines. This is accomplished through effective due diligence testing (test the tester), as well as effective partnership with business leaders using a blend of audit, risk analytics, compliance, business acumen, operational risk, process improvement skills, and fluency with respect to rapid investor and regulatory changes impacting the Mortgage industry.

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an Associate’s Degree in a Business Administration or related field of study, 5 – 8 years of related experience in residential mortgage origination or servicing, and at least 2 – 5 years of experience in either quality control, compliance testing, audit, or underwriting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
