Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient Service Assistant – Per Diem 9am-5pm; rotating schedule and holidays – Hemodialysis.
In this role, the successful candidate Performs environmental cleaning functions. Transports needed supplies, blood samples, documents, and other items required to and from the hospital.
Job Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify you must have a High school diploma or equivalency
Ability to read and comprehend written policies and procedures
Must possess New York State Driver’s license
Must be able to provide own transportation
Ability to move, stand and walk for up to 90% of work time when performing general cleaning duties& responsibilities of the position.
Interpersonal skills necessary to be courteous to patients and staff when performing housekeeping duties
Ability to push and pull carts of housekeeping supplies weighing up to 50 pounds for up to 80% of work time.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $21.50 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
