Position Summary: Plans, directs and coordinates the human resource activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources. Provides a wide range of services, and acts as first level resolution to inquiries regarding employee relations, compensation, payroll, benefits and learning and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees
Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations; completing personnel transactions
Maintain and update payroll information as necessary– analyze, prepare and input payroll data
Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws, and government mandated policies
Ensure compliance with all new hire and onboarding processes
Serve as the initial point of contact for all recruiting efforts for assigned locations including but not limited to; posting, sourcing, interviewing, salary quotes, etc.
Serve as the main point of contact for all employee benefit questions and concerns, assist with new hire and open enrollment questions
Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting policies and helping resolve work-related problems
Partners with managers to ensure the application and customization of HR policies, procedures and services
Serve as a mentor/coach to on-site management for candidate interviews, crucial conversation coaching, team building, etc.
Consults with employees regarding requests for FMLA, ADA accommodations and processes applications and follow up correspondence
Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action Conducts new employee Orientations and separation Exit Interviews
Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions
Plan, monitor and ensure employee evaluations are completed on schedule
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
Employee issues –
Be available for all employees to approach with any employee issues and concerns.
Provide investigations for all employee complaints to include other employee interviews.
Maintain confidentiality with all employee issues.
Maintain a log of all employee issues and complaints with investigation and resolutions for easy access.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of five years Human Resources Generalist experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Professional in Human Resources preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources management as well as legal issues related to employment
Ability to proactively and assertively address issues as they arise
Proven track record of taking ownership for delivering on personal, departmental and organization commitments
Demonstrated ability to present and document work according to standards required
Must be able to work independently as well as be a team player
Must be able to take responsibility and work under pressure
Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
Ability to coordinate and complete several tasks simultaneously
