Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operators perform a full range radio and telephone operational intake duties in this 24-hour Centralized Monitoring Station. GSOC Operators actively monitors and effectively responds to all incoming requests for assistance, assess potential risks, dangers, and incidents that may disrupt patients, guests, and employees’ safety as well as business continuity. Responsible for providing primary service support to the area of Security, Safety, Alarm Monitoring, Emergency Monitoring, and Surveillance Camera Monitoring. Dispatches BHSF emergency and/or other resource agencies often requiring immediate independent judgment. Will monitor emergency call boxes, intrusion detection, duress buttons, access control, and integrated building/energy management systems. Also, receive fire alarm notifications from various central monitoring centers. Perform computer record checks for vehicle registration and incident management reporting. Responsible for ensuring all components of the GSOC are operational and that all systems are in working order. GSOC operators also input, update, and retrieve information from a variety of computer systems and applications. In addition, operators are responsible for documenting events for archiving and investigation purposes. Estimated pay range for this position is $16.04 – $19.41 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications
Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper Licenses & Certifications: Drivers License from Florida Additional Qualifications: A.A. or A.S. in Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Psychology or Business preferred. Three years of Security or previous Law Enforcement, Military, security/law enforcement dispatch or corrections experience preferred. Intermediate competency with computer systems including MS Office and able to operate radio systems and telephone equipment. Preferably able to type at least 35 wpm. Excellent verbal communication and written reporting skills with the ability to communicate effectively with Security and IT professionals as well as emergency first responders. Must be able to communicate clearly in the English language. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle emergency situations. Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor. Public Safety Telecommunications Operator Certificate or must successfully pass BHSF Communications program within the first 90 days of employment. Minimum Required Experience:
