Role Description:

The Currencies, Commodity & Derivatives Operations (CCDO) team is expanding and looking for an Operational Risk and Controls Risk Manager. This role will be a key part of the CCDO and the Global Markets Risk team. The role will be responsible for supporting, implementing and maintaining the overall Risk Framework Objectives including the Single Process Inventory (SPI) and RCSA, as well as reviewing enterprise policies, laws rules and regulations, while supporting both LOB Partners and OR&C colleagues in CCDO. The role will be part of a team of risk management professionals in NY, Houston, UK, India and Singapore. 

Responsibilities:

• You will drive the review and oversight of the SPI (risk and control library) governance framework, across CCDO LOB’s to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
• You will evaluate new policy requirements for CCDO to understand the relevant impacts and changes.
• You will evaluate new LRR requirements for CCDO to understand the relevant impacts and changes.
• You will act as the central point of contact for managing external regulatory examinations and internal audits for CCDO.
• You will facilitate all aspects of the evaluation and assessment process in support of the Risk Control Self Assessments for GBAM Operations and corresponding business line support.
• You will review and maintain the CCDO OR&C procedure inventory to ensure enterprise requirements are delivered and partnering with GMO risk colleagues to ensure consistency.
• You will research and investigate ad hoc Risk and Control or governance inquiries across CCDO horizontally.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience within operations, risk or audit will be essential for the role
• You will have the ability to present to and manage stakeholders of all levels
• You will have effective communications skills, both written and verbal
• You will have the ability to analyse large sets of data

Skills that will help (optional):

• Knowledge of the Global Markets Operations processes would be an advantage
• Having the ability to collaborate and build relationships with multiple lines of business would be a plus
• Having a track record of continuous improvement and challenging the status quo will be advantageous
